So I'm driving to my house with my friend Rachel, thinkin I'm just gonna run inside to change, when 20 or so of my best friends pop up in the kitchen. Nick organized this incredible surprise send-off party for me: bbq, dvd with messages from friends, bowling, cake...it was awesome/kinda sad. And a damn good looking group of people, if I do say so myself.

Charlie! The site is AWESOME and how great that you put up the pics from your party! I will be visiting the site all the time during the next few months..thinking about what an amazing time you’ll be having around the world. don’t forget about us back in the states… o and don’t forget about that beer journal. such a good idea. loooove u!

I’m currently out of town, but I’m glad so many of your friends were there to give you a good surprise send off. Sorry I couldn’t be there.
